off season deals

The A's have been trading everybody to different teams. They have traded Gio Gonzalez to the Nationals for prospects and Trevor Cahil and Craig Breslow to the Diamondbacks for prospects. They have also traded Andrew Bailey and Ryan Sweeney to the Red Sox for more prospects. The Cubs signed DeJesus and the Twins got Willingham. I think the A's shouldn't have traded all those because now they  need a closer, two outfielders unless they trade Coco Crisp because then they'll need three outfielders. They also need to replace two starting pitchers from their rotation. and that's all that they need to do.The Angels have made the big money deals so far by getting Albert Pujols and CJ Wilson.

new baseball rules

Last week,as part of their labor negotiations,MLB came up with some new rules to help the league. Some of the rules are that there will be expanded review, another wildcard team in the postseason and the Houston Astros are moving to the AL West to make all of the divisions have five teams.Interleague play will continue into September making it more exciting. Expanded review will allow the umps to review everything including foul balls and hits.I think that is a good idea because the season will be more entertaining and the postseason will get longer which is awesome.I think that all the rules are good ideas.

World series

The world series has begun. This year it is the Texas Rangers from the american league and the St Louis Cardinals from the National League. The cardinals have home field advantage so the series will be in St Louis for 2 then Texas for3 and back to St Louis for 2 if necessary. The Rangers are leading the series 3 games to 2 thanks a lot to Mike Napoli and  Adrian Beltre.Today is game 6 and the pitching matchup is Colby Lewis for the Rangers against Jaime Garcia for the Cardinals. If the Rangers win today in St Louis then they take the series and the world championship.I think that the Rangers will win today and take the series.

Introduction to my blog and a few facts about the season that is about to end

Hi my  name is Ben and I am 12 years old.I came up with my blog entries to be about baseball because i'm a baseball fan.I want to write about baseball because I know a lot of things and I think that I will get people to read it.
Some facts about the season are that the wildcard races are coming down to the final day. They are between the Rays and the Redsox in the Al and  the Braves and the Cardinals in the NL. The Rangers are a game ahead of the Tigers for second place in the American league behind the Yankees. In the National League The Phillies are clearly ahead in the NL.The Bay area teams will look to  finish the season strong with a win today in the series finale. The Astros are clearly the worst team in baseball. If all the wildcard teams win today then there will be a tiebreaker tomorrow for both leagues.I think this was a great season overall.
